I am very passionate about creating something with my own hands and it gives me immense satisfaction seeing a piece of new furniture sitting out in my garden. Of course inside my home too!

If you're just starting out in the woodworking field here is a list of basic requirements for most simple projects.

Hammer

Drill & Drill bits

Extension cord

Tape measure

Level

Clamps in various sizes

Table saw

Palm sander

Having a good workspace that provides ample space for your projects is necessary. This can be just a workbench in your garage or basement or even your own shed - build your own! If you are working in an enclosed space I highly recommend the use of goggles and a dust mask. A shop vac is great for picking up all the sawdust, which can be thrown into your gardens. Nothing wasted here.

Building Plans/Blueprints

Personally I find this topic to be extremely important. Great plans are going to help make building your Adironack chair easier. My own requirements before purchasing a set of blueprints are as follows:

Easy to follow steps

Well laid out diagrams

List of tools and materials

Options for various designs.

The best resource that I have come across and used and which I recommend to you is Woodworking4Home. Very informative and I give it top marks for value for money.
